Hatha-Vinyasa is a system of asana or postural practice in yoga that enables the practitioner to focus on her/his state-of-being. This is facilitated through creating and releasing tension in the body as well as through guiding awareness of the mind. The system uses modulation of breath, gaze and endurance to create a challenging yet non-aggressive practice. Through the course of the lessons, participants may expect to develop mindfulness, isometric strength training and flexibility. No prior yoga experience is required.
