SAUMYA BHARGAVA |  Marketing, BUSINESS & GRANTS

Presently, I am leading marketing, grants, and business development at Chowk, a space where tradition meets innovation in the world of Odissi and contemporary dance. My work focuses on building sustainable pathways for the company, from fundraising and partnerships to audience development and long-term strategy, ensuring Chowk’s artistic vision is supported by a strong and resilient business foundation.

Before joining Chowk, I built my career in the consumer business world, working with international brands such as Decathlon, Charles & Keith, Heinemann, Alibaba, Vans, and The North Face. I also played a pivotal role in RedMart’s transformative journey into Alibaba. Across these roles, I specialised in data-driven decision-making, brand building, cross-functional leadership, and turning complex challenges into profitable solutions.

At Chowk, I bring this same strategic lens to the arts and am exploring ways to make art sustainable, to generate new models of growth that allow Chowk’s work to flourish locally and internationally.

Beyond the professional, I am also a certified yoga therapist, crafter, and mother. These pursuits continually shape how I approach both business and art. With one foot in spreadsheets and the other on a yoga mat, I bring balance, creativity, and thoughtful precision to everything I do.
